Fellas (& the few women we have here), I would suggest that on a daily basis you make a point of telling your wife or husband how much you appreciate their daily contribution to your lives.
Looking back, I know that I am guilty of not doing what I preach but in the last 2 months since my wife passed I have come to a new eye opening view of my wife and her daily chores.   There are things that got done and not mentioned nor noticed that now become a chore when I see something that wasn't done.
A simple thing like repackaging meat to vacuum pack now takes twice as long because she isn't there to put the meat into the new vacuum bag.
Pay attention guys and don't forget to tell her

Spot on Dick. Again, so sorry for your loss. You too Tony. I cannot imagine life without my Wife, and partner by my side. I don't always hit it exactly on a daily mark, but I do try to let her know what she means to me on a regular basis.
I went through that a few years back. What you say is true.  I'm sorry for your loss.

October 2023 I lost my wife of 47 years. I didn't have to wait to discover all that she did.

There's a lot more I should have said , questions that need answers, things found out too late.

She was my motivation to be in the shop. I didn't go there for about 8 months. She told me grief is the cost of love.

You'll be alright, just keep making her proud of you.

Hug 'em if you got 'em.

First, very sorry you lost your wife, may she rest in peace. I can't say I know how you feel, but I can imagine and I hope you are doing well considering this loss.
Truer words have never been spoken. All too often we are so wrapped up in our own little world that we fail to notice what is going on around us, and we take all for granted. I thank you for these words of wisdom, I shall take heed. Thank you.
I've tried to be more intentional in the chores I do, mostly for her, and how I do them.  It appears my wife likes pillows on the bed, not just those for sleeping but apparently just for show.  The growth in number over time has lead me to believe more is better.  I want her to be as happy as possible so to me that means as many pillows as possible.  Not sure if I'm doing this right or not as she did notice I made the bed but strangely wasn't more happy about it than usual as I'd hoped.
We probably have a few 100 of those "pillows" plus a few 35 gallon garbage bags stuffed full and up in storage (out of style I guess).

I think you are on to something BB, "innocently" corral all the buggers into one space. Really shows the inanity of it all.
i thought my wife was bad, but thats pillow over load ! 😲

BBY  -  That pillow collection reminds me of my lumber collection.  I have way more than I'll ever use - EVER
Which brings up an interesting question Dick.
Has anyone's wife ever stacked all their lumber on the TS like those pillows?
mines up on wall racks and she's 4'-10.5" so, no !

So, 1 "yea" vote that pillow wives are nuts?
