Sometimes bigger is not always better and I have found these “micro” clamps invaluable, especially in my production of some of my puzzles… more particularly puzzle “boxes”.
They are not necessarily cheap considering their size, but I managed to pick some up internationally for less than ½ the price of reduced pairs… and that was when international shipping was still “civilised”.
It’s not hard to put 8 clamps on one small box (4 on top and 4 on bottom)… line up 3 boxes and you’re up for 24 clamps… a few times I have depleted my collection,
There a few poopsie Craftright branded ones,
fairly useless due to lack of pressure, however, are great for spreading,
The clamps are stored under my workbench,
ready for the picking.
I have a small selection of various small slamps,
for those awkward small items, and at a pinch… spring clamps,
however, I tend to neglect them for the Irwin micros.
I’ve got a handful of those micro clamps, they serve a great purpose…when they’re the right clamp for the job. I’ve also got a bunch of ratcheting ‘spring clamps’ that I really like quite a bit…I use them more than regular spring clamps on a lot of things 👍🏼
Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".
Pottz commented about 3 hours ago new ive got only 1 irwin micro clamp and have used it 1 time only. now spring clamps i use quite a bit in various sizes.
A single clamp is like saying I've only got one sock.. yet my feet are still cold.
I've actually driven a Rolls-Royce... once... but because only once, doesn't mean it wasn't any good and/or I didn't like it.

RGi, do you mean these units? I know a lot of people swear by them by I'm a swear at person with them. I have to admit they seem to hold well, but I just can't convince myself... even after a coupla cask-o-vinos, when I don't give a toss about anything.
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
I bought 2 sets of 4 of the 4”Irwin Quick Clamps for the toymaking. While doing the job I accidentally bought a set of 4” Bessey Quick Clamps and they are so much better.
Which ones??? If they were Bessey, I'd agree they would be better but double the price... Didn't know Bessey made Micro clamps... if I did, I'd definitely buy Bessey.

Alex, Yes dearer than the Irwin. I bought them through Amazon AU but the were supplied by Amazon USA
Funny you should mention them, took this posed photos yesterday (to compare with my 330.2mm wooden hand screw), Mine are metal and actually used them today to hold some M5 screws that I had to cut down and not melt the plastic pads on my other clamps, DOH!... on the second cut!
I have a "much bigger" plastic one, but that would also suffer melting moments,
