I purchased a pair of each (152.4mm, 203.2mm, 304.8mm), except the 254mm ones which were out of stock,
Unfortunately I wanted to make a review a few months ago, however, while waiting for the facility here, it seems that others may have been impressed with the video in the meantime and gobbled up Taylor's stock.
I plan to do a blog/video on the build, starting with a SketchUp diagram, if only to help with a scaled drilling template(s)... the plans are not to scale.
While drafting this blog, I went searching for the instructions on Taylor Tools WEB site but looks like it has been deleted... assuming no stock as the message at the end of the video was "CLOSEOUT". But do not despair….
to the rescue… I have uploaded all the plans to my Cloud Storage. Also Peter Parfitt has made a video of making your own using your hardware,
however, I do recommend you make the above modifications (in the top mentioned vide).
Before you freak out as a waste of time, you can assemble your own hardware using threaded rod, this type of Cross Dowel Barrel Nut
You can make your own handles and ferules.
Choose your hole sizes in accordance with your hardware.
I am planning on making a few build episodes based on this SketchUp model,
Feel free to try and beat me to it as it would be an ideal novice project to create a useful shopmade tool… or even a veteran one for those that just don’t have enough clamps… which should be everyone!

Many many years ago a similar kit was available from some company, forgot who. I made two, they are hanging on the wall, used seldom. Remember them in my Grandfathers shop. Played with them as a kid some.
I like the old ones that used the ACME threaded rods, but alas all I have are the cheap clamps that use standard threaded rod. The basic parts are ok, I'll have to consider some of these mods because like Rob's mine are just used to hold up power cords
Pretty good ideas for improvement. I was thinking, a person could also thread those holes and bolt them down to a bench with a bolt from the bottom and the area would be clear of any clamps. I use Kant Twist clamps and cam clamps a lot to go the the squeeze clamps.

Yup. Ducky I saw that video awhile back. I’m glad to see someone’s making these clamps. There are so many ways I use them and now you’ll be able to make many more uses for them.

Most woodworkres have used these clamps... in fact most get them at the beginning of the woddie adventure as they remind people that we are woodworkers... and then we graduate to those quick-action/pipe/diversified-gizmo clamps. In the meantime, most veterans have devised clever, if not devious, ways to utilise their screw clamps...
I posted this thread to get some ideas swapped for both new and old (veteran) clamping battlers.
The thread idea sounds great. My initial concern was that clamping could destroy the threads (whether tapped or inserts), however, making my own handles and tapping/threading them on the rods (with a removable pin) the jaws could be swapped out... or better still make some dedicated threaded ones... I keep forgetting they can be built outside the Taylor's kits.

That picture was taken about 10 years ago when I grew my beard and hair to fit in with the frauleins when I moved from the big smoke to downtown Churchill.

If you want to get satirical with it put your mouth where the clamps divides. The top of your head on the upper wood and the lower part with your beard on the bottom part of the clamp.

OK James, that happens to be my gig. Alex no longer has a beard and he looks better in orange and black anyway. Unfortunately I still look like my brand, no hair and a black and white (although not as much black anymore) whiskers. Lol
