Craftisian Labs #6: Dedicated Image Galleries Are Here

Project images are now displayed in a more appealing way on the project pages. Large featured image is accompanied by a grid of additional project picture thumbnails on the right side together with a view images button leading to a standalone gallery page. Featured image as well as thumbnails are also linked to the gallery page.

Project gallery page shows all project pictures in a much larger size. It is also visually minimalist so you can explore the images without any distractions. Images are stacked, making the scrolling through them quite a pleasing experience. You can also click on the small square thumbnails to jump to respective images. Returning to the project details is quick by clicking on the back button - even the browser back button works - or hitting the ESC key on your keyboard.

Next, you can see how it looks on mobiles:

I also included a quick-share button in the top right corner of the Project gallery header so you can easily share the project on Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter:

Perhaps this is a good time to revisit your all-time favorites to see how cool those projects truly look 😎

Enjoy!

Main Street to the Mountains

Nice, Martin! Given that Melon Husk is destroying Twitter as we speak, having a “share on ActivityPub” might be a good thing… if you run out of things to do… ;-)

May you have the day you deserve!

Cool Martin... I have trouble keeping up with just the daily changes... nearly more than the whole LJ upgrade.

Being an ex, I can appreciate the coding effort to make changes... that work!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
