I used my drill press today after it had sat idle for a while. I opened the door on the top to check the speed setting via the belts. Inside I found a lot of pink insulation. Things like this aren't really unusual since my shop is in a barn. But when I touched the insulation, something skittered out.

There were four smaller mice attached to Mommy, and they were pretty big for her to be dragging them around like that:
I sure am glad that I checked the belts before turning on the drill - that would have been messy.

Might want to check to make sure that they didn't chew on anything. They have a habit of chewing on the most expensive or difficult to replace part. Had a rodent chow down on my car. I noticed the problem when I could no longer use cruise control. Computer told me that the speed sensor was not working so I took it to a mechanic. He said some sort of rodent had chewed through several wires so I had to replace the entire wire harness.

The only good thing mice have done for me is chew through the packaging of some bread mix and made me throw it out... why good, the used by date was about 3 years overdue... the flour was rancid.

In my late teens, when I was 20, I used to have pet snakes that I transported loose in my car, usually snuggled up on the front bench seat next to me... don't believe the hipe, they can be affectionate. However, some passengers got skitty and squirmed around like a dog seeking an open window, so I used to put her into the glovebox. One late night/am I forgot it was in the glovebox and went to be. Next morning when I started the car to go to work I heard a quick sharp faint rumble near the front of the car. On opening the bonnet I was met with a spattering of blood and flesh. The theory was that at night the snake must have detected the warmth from my radiator, crawled out of the glovebox through some hole and snuggled up around the fan... oops... not much left for my traditional 1.5m x 60mm x 60mm grave.

Good thing the wares are not covered with corn based insulation. They would eat that right off the wires, you saved yourself a mess! Set a trap near there and get rid of the critters!!

Some mothers do have them I remember from years ago my Mom had nipple cream, night be a need after that adventure even the bigger versions tend to visit here (once) that's his baby producing days finished.
The little rotter was eating my chilli plants, no sooner did they fruit they were dissapearing. At first I thought it was a possum so I enclosed them. But it happened again! I busted him climbinging again. So the trap was set, sadly I snared a bird first up. So some re engineering was required. I haven't had and more problems since , so it must have been a Lone ranger. Sadly the plants were damaged beyond recovery, oh well I will have to wait until next planting season.
