Well, I left the house at 7:15, drove to the my polling place and walked right in  -  the early morning rush had already been there.
Did my thing and back home with my second cup of coffee at 7:30  Living in a county with a population of 26,758 has some advantages.  Less crime, less traffic and no waiting lines to speak of.    I'm pretty sure that I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to vote in the 50 some years I've lived here.

I voted at 630 and lots of folks there.  Had to wait about 20 minutes or so.  Poll workers were good.

Standing in line outside there was a guy telling everyone about his candidate and being obnoxious but he was 50 ft from the door so legal.  A guy behind me told him to shut up.... It was great.  I am so tired of all the ads and lies.   I think that no matter who wins there will be a lot of noise after the election.

Of course, an Eastern university has scheduled a day off after the ELE tion for celebration, crying, demonstrating or something.
Such a circus we’ve turned this whole thing into…

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

send in the clowns, sorry i meant politicians 🤣

One thing where being retired has paid off huge for my Wife and I, we can take advantage of early voting, no matter when they have it, hardly any lines, nice, happy to meet you, poll workers, and just a little further from home than the normal polling place.

This cycle Ohio has had the early vote every day for just about a month. I seriously can't remember the actual date we went now, but it was a few weeks ago. Voted, stopped at a place we go to for breakfast, which is right by the main polls, and had a nice breakfast.

Now if all the A hats who are bombing the TV, my phone, and whatever electronic device, with all of their lies, and sworn, never to be mentioned again promises, would just STFU, because I am simply through with this cycle.

Can't wait for tomorrow, at least the barrage of ads will stop.

Now this BS about it may be weeks to know the results, are just that, BS. All states should have the exact same rules for ID, whatever, and all of them should tally results ASAP, to end this nightmare an election has become. More DRAMA isn't the answer.
I went after work. Was in and out within ten mins. I never had to wait on a long line. My polling place in right down the street.

Couldn't stand living in such a big smoke....  My downtown Churchill is over populated at 4,924 with half of those being students at our University campus... yes university... we have the best educated wombats and kangaroos in the world..

We don't have a shopping district so there is no queueing... and while we have the normal distribution of criminals, with such a low population you're are more likely to be the victim (or the perpetrator).

When it comes to traffic, our roundabouts take and age to get through, as everyone knows and pretends to like each other, if more than 1 car comes to the roundabout they spend an ages saying "you go first", "no, you go first"... till eventually they all get pissed off, accelerate and crash into each other. Then they have to wait hours for tow trucks to come from the nearest towns.

Voting has never been an issue, at least for the last 14 years I've been here... no matter who gets in, they couldn't give a stuff about Churchill.

Ducky, that 26,758 was the county  -  our town only has 1400 people, 2 bars and 4 churches.  Not too many years ago, the bars FAR outnumbered the churches but things change.
We have one bar and one hill... the church fell off the front of the hill.
