Why not go for it.

woodworking classes, custom furniture maker

would be a good use of scraps..

Do you use a jig?  Or do you use the router table? If so can you post it.

Curious how you make them.

I've purchased a 5mm radius beading bit just for making 10mm Dominos, saves some cash!
I bought a Leigh FMT to make my dominos,

Just kidding!

If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD

Good use for that laser LBD! 3mm at a time then do a lamination 😃

Sorry Splinter, I use 6mm MDF... and don't forget my dowel alignment technique... though using CA glue minimises drying time... especially if I spritz it... but I use a pump bottle making that spritz cheaper than the aerosol can.

i dont get it,if you can afford a domino you shouldn't have to worry about saving money making your own ? plus id rather spend my time making something with it !

Maybe I only had enough for the domino and nothing left over for the ammo 😃

Besides, I have plenty of "sticks" that are not much use for anything else and the tooling to make my own. I can even use different wood species if I wanted to get creative and have exposed domino joinery.
sorry splint not buyin it ! now if your doing something with an exposed domino yeah then id make my own.

Well, it is (sorta) a free country so I suppose if you would rather pay $$ for dominos made by someone else then that's Ok, I guess. Sorta like just buying your meats pre-smoked and having someone else walk your dog (sniff).
I understand, really I do.

Actually I bough a bag just recently since I needed the 10x50's. It is nice to just pull one out and slap it in, but seeing the cost  and that I have made many of the shorter ones makes me think I'll just make my own unless I'm under pressure or win the lottery.
(Bwahahahaha!)
oh splint my poor confused friend ! im not gonna put ya down if thats what floats your boat buddy but i just cant justify my precious time making dominos ! now i assume your "retired" and have time to burn ? right now i dont and making my own, makes no sense for me !

I'm 5+ years from that luxury, just a po' pauper, living in a box behind the bus station, looking forward to the time I can retire to a nice van down by the river. Come by some time, we can split a box of Gallo!

Splinter, I put off buying a Domino for 13+ years as I had a Leigh FMT, D4R and a DeWalt biscuit joiner.

As soon as the brought out their breakdown hardware,

I started playing dominos...
Now if anyone knows how to make them on the cheap, I'll pay $10,000...

At least they threw in a few dominos (circled) "free".
