Just more Chinese junk. 90 + % of what is now sold on Amashit is THIS. Bezos doesn't care, he's busy wasting Billions by blowing up space rockets now. I heard some dufus on radio saying Amashit is too big to fail. Just shook my head, and changed channels.Â
Agreed! People love cheap and sometimes it is as good of quality as needed, sometimes just junk. Of course I see no surprise in the label that Carey has. A lot of that is liability a$$ coverage especially with something like a "cutting" board that can get nasty junk growing in the knife gouges and someone gets sick from not cleaning properly.
Did get a great laugh though!
Those boards are very popular for laser engraving since they take a good image and are cheap enough to actually make a buck or two if you sell them.
People on Facebook in Alex Snodgrass's Bandsaw box group have been talking about gluing these up for a few months. Stated to be the closest thing to free wood. I didn't recognize them until you posted about their use with lasers, which is usually also in their comment. Just from what I can see in the pic, looks pretty open grain. Face to face it may need a lot of work to glue up well.Â
Board Looks like rubberwood.  It is "salvaged" from rubber plantations and is often used for cheap Asian made furniture and stained dark to hide how cheap it is. I guess the one positive is that they didn't stain it too. Â
