Bow tablesaw fence and feather boards

i saw a woodworker showing this system on a you tube video a few weeks ago and really liked what i saw. so i bought it. this is made by BOW  Products. https://bow-products.com/product-category/woodworking/?avia_extended_shop_select=yes&product_count=135&product_order=popularity#top

the system is modular so you can buy whatever pieces you want. i have the 46" fence. they also have a 24" and a 36". the fence just clamps onto your existing one or there are t tracks on the back so you could bolt it on also. with the clamps putting it on or off takes seconds to change. there is a hole on the back so you can hang it when not in use. the fences are 5" tall and 1" thick made from heavy duty anodized aluminum. the feather boards can be used individual or stacked in pairs, the feathers are made from heavy EVA rubber. the feathers are easily replaceable if damaged. the push stick tip is also replaceable if it hits the blade. and the handle can be removed if you wanna make your own custom handle. for small saws they also make these end caps to support long boards.
i had no need for those since my saw has a very deep top at 34" and a 48" fence.
so far im lovin this system.

Nice write up, thanks.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

On the feather boards, how hard are the rubber feathers?  Do they create much drag?  Slippery?
The arthritis in my thumbs is telling me maybe I need some help. Looking to get the fence and the feather boards.
(I just need all of you to send me 20 dollars each and I will be set.)

there a hard dense rubber.

Here is a funny for ya,
I was going to make my own style feather boards at one time. (Never did)
Here were my "rough idea" prototype drawings.

not bad but no kickback protection ?

Nah,  Kickbacks are for rookies...
But,
I had thought about directional wheels, if there is such a thing.  I never looked.

yes jess em has directional wheels. there at a slight angle that pulls the board into the fence and only roll one way to prevent kickbacks. not cheap though.

They stole my idea,  I'm going to have to sue them.

Looks like I'll have to order the BOW products.

They look very useful pottzy, but only about 5 years too late.

That is why I encourage reviews.... what may be just a routine ho-hum to some, they could be a total revelation and saviour to others.
That's why I deserted LJ... not for their crappy new format, or cruddy admin support, but what they did to their "Reviews", and refused to address it.

Don't know whether it was the same brand but I saw similar lime greens about 6 months ago at our "local" (in the big smoke) Carbatec branch.
I was impressed, but already had them featherboards covered,

allbeit a lot more than what these would retail for (individually). That is because my 3D printed ones anchored by what many may consider expensive mag-swithches.... though that didn't phase me as I have a swag of them I use extensively on my cast iron tabletops.

I tried timber (just to prove that I'm not a total MDF junkie),

but they're not too complacent with dropsies... hence the brace... only to be "redundated" with the 3D printer.

All these are great for small stock, however, finances permitting, you can't go past Jess-Em for sheet goods (all sizes),

they do drag the stock into the fence.

PS.  pottzy, I wanna see pictures of the items on your tools in your workshop... not some glossy magazine happy snaps, spruiked by the vendor.
