It was the end of April 2023 and had finished the display case and needing a project. Decided to build an entry table for the AZ house. It would be in the style of the other furniture I had built for this home. Tapered legs, M&T joinery, arched aprons, utilizing Walnut, Cherry and Maple. So I set out to build the leg set before returning to Washington State. Sketches were made to begin the design.
Went to Wa mid May and returned to AZ mid October. Built the arched aprons of cherry and added inlay strips of maple in dados cut on the TS. I built walnut frame to surround figured maple panels. Inlay strips of maple were added to the walnut frames and walnut inlay strips were added to the maple insert panels.

Pottz, Yeah to mistake disclosures. Funny one on this project, one leg was dropped three times hitting the concrete floor. The wood gods were with me. Landed on the top twice and the bottom once, did swear all 3 times.
Thanks for the comments. Had to overcome my fear of Dado blades to be good at inlay strips, much easier than a router table. I love inlay strips. More to come on my next little project.
Nice looking table. That top came out real nice. Nothing worse than dropping a part on the floor and seeing a corner chip off. It's nice to get lucky some days and have no damage
Thanks for the comment. The walnut used is pretty but the maple even more so. Got a piece of maple 6/4 x 8 x 24-ish that will make it into some future project.
