Flat Screen Shelf with a Secret
Sometimes I just have to build because I dreamt it.
This wall mount shelf has a few secrets. The platform contains a large secret space for storage of whatever, chocolate likely. The secret compartment in the platform is locked under spring pressure and pops out once released.
The brackets themselves were made from 4 layers of plywood. I made a special cut from the two middle layers that ended up making a slim secret stash spot that slides right into the bracket. The removeable compartment has a magnet at the end of the drawer so it stays firmly in place.
Perhaps the most difficult part was getting the dentil molding looking balanced, lol.
My buddy was all hyped to take on the finishing process in trade of him getting a great deal. I think I got the best end of that one, haha!

pretty cool kel. chocalate maybe or id say a good place to hide a weapon ?
working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment,somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

A lot of great craftsmanship in that project. I thought it was a mantel when I first saw it.
