Ramblings from a South Central Texas Wood Butcher #21: Shadow Boxes to Get a Neighbor

Last year I made my wife, Selena, a couple of shadow boxes. Towards the end of the year, she asked for a frame for one of the puzzles that she put together.

Selena collects Wild Turkey ceramic turkey decanters, and displays some of the small ones on the the shadow boxes. The puzzle she wants the frame for, is of turkeys, and she wants to hang it above the shadow boxes.

With that request, I decided to design them puzzle frame similar to the shadow boxes, making it out of Red Oak, as they are. It’s ready for hanger slots, stain and clear coat. Here’s some shots, up to where I’m at now.
