Hans Wegner's "Bukkestolen" #7: Stretchers trimmed to shape

With all the tenons cut on the stretcher blanks, I used a router template to cut them to final shape.  I used the test front stretcher as my template.   A pair of clamping squares pushed up against tenons made it easy to position the template on the stretcher blank.

With the outline marked and the excess trimmed at the bandsaw, I headed to the router table to trim to final shape.

Next, the upper/rear stretcher.  This router template didn't incorporate tenon "ears", which made it more fiddly to center on the stretcher.

The lower/rear stretcher template had a little extra length, so I added tenon ears to help with positioning.  Just that stubby bit was a big help to drop the template in place.

Another dry fit to see how it looks with the shaped stretchers.

Thanks, guys.  Yes, slowly getting there.  I took a pause last night to start thinking about how I'll go about clamping the arm/leg assemblies to make sure everything's aligned properly (legs perfectly vertical and no twist).  I think I've got it covered.
