Fresh out of the oven and served with spaghetti and meatballs.

Spreading lots of butter on the buns.

Now I can sprinkle the fresh chopped garlic on.

Now for some oregano.

In the oven for about 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

Bonappetit!

I make garlic bread using Bolillos bread. If I don’t bake my own I get it at my local grocery store. The baker tells me the best day to buy them. They are a very versatile bread and can be used for making great sandwiches.
Thanks for watching your favorite Quick Cook.

Many of my fans are probably asking. Where are your gloves? Their in the laundry, but don’t worry they’ll be back.

Bread AND Pasta, I love it, but talk about Carb central.

Sams club around here sells those rolls. I never knew the proper name for them, and we have always just called them "sub buns" They bake it every day, you just have to dig to the bottom of the pile of it to get the freshest, but they have a baked on date.

For sammiches we tunnel it out, so you don't have to eat the entire loaf, also allows for more room for other ingredients without getting tippy, and slide around on ya.
Thanks George. I also dig out the inners of a large baguettes. But the Bolillos bread is a lot smaller, but it is a good way to cut back on calories.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

I like a crispy crust baguette, baked the same day and not sliced.  I fillet it much like you have and use pats of Costco unsalted butter.  I no longer mince my own garlic as I get that from Costco too.  After the butter I sprinkle on Kinders garlic butter seasoning, then garlic, then finally Italian herbs which I suspect is mostly oregano and basil.  That's left open face on a pan, in the 400° oven for 5-6 minutes.

Thanks George.
BigBlock I like the crispy fresh French bread too. My better half has a hard time eating the crispy stuff.
If I bake these rolls in the oven for about 5 minutes on 400 degrees they do get nice and crispy on the outside side.
