Pottz & Carrie Inspired Post for Cork Cutting Jig

Since Carey Mitchel and Pottz just posted projects that incorporated used wine corks, I figured I'd post this [absurdly simple] cork cutting jig I made to cut up corks.

The jig was inspired by that I had a literal trunk full of new wine corks that were freebies from a winery closing down.

Using the jig, you can cut hundreds of corks in half relatively quickly, easily and safely.

This not only makes your corks go twice as far, they are easier to use because they have a flat side, which can be glued to the surface of thin ply or wood.

The jig can be found in the blog section at:   https://craftisian.com/entries/2254-bandsaw-cork-cutting-jig
easy peasy jig kelly. although the diameter of corks can vary quite a bit. but it would be easy enough to make a few different size jigs. ive never cut mine because well, ive always had a crap load of em. actually after making the trivets i dumped what i had left, probably 500+ ! hey time to enjoy "collecting" more 😁

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

I can do 100 corks in about 1/2 hour, lollygagging.

Put a bag or bucket on the back and make a through hole, instead, so you just kept pumping them through, and that number would be paled pretty easily.

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

Excellent for going into production mode!
The idea of the catch hole couls really let you cranks them out.
