Drum sander issue

So I'm getting uneven sanding - snipe on one end.
Should not be an infeed/outfeed extension issue as the boards were fully on the belt.

Although, looking at this picture, I see the space between in/outfeed and the belt differs (hmmm...was it always that way?).

Anyway, I can hear the change in sanding.  What might this be?  Appears to be a "new" issue, not sure if related in time to when I put on new paper (that's still a process for me!!).

Barb I don't have the Jet, so my answer may help, maybe there is a more direct answer though, hopefull some owners will chime it to get you going.

I believe it will come down to table adjustment for the snipe, and the paper application to your drum for the dished stock. The paper has to lay very close to the shape  of the drum on mine, or I will have issue. Sometimes new paper/cloth of a roll is really stiff, and getting it to mind takes more muscle than I like to bring to bear, but when I do press it down as I roll it on, the problem diminishes, or goes away.

Hope you get it figured out.
The difference in table width is typical, not aware of any secret reasons other than going in is more important that going out?🤷‍♂️

The line seems to be a bit far down to be snipe, that usually shows up as a divot in the first 2-3".
I get what you show whenever the feeding of the wood ever stalls (slips on the feed belt) and the drum spends a few more quality time with the wood there.

Is it always in the same spot?

If so, measure how far down from the boards end. Take that measurement to your DS and measure from the lowest point on the drum. Does the measurement align up with where the outfeed table extension  starts? Could be that the front (leading) edge of the board is catching on that gap and being lifted slightly.
GeorgeWest- I will double check the wrapping.  I struggle with getting it all lined up, but cannot remember when this issue started (before or after I changed the paper).

Splintergroup- I'll try measuring as you suggest.  I don't think this board even was on the in/outfeed extension, but maybe.  I can hear a difference in the sanding so something is "catching" and then levels out.

Thank you!
might put a straight edge along the lenghthof the board over the divot. Back-lighted it might show just a semicircular divot (what I get from stalls), or a circular divot followed by a ramp back up to the surface, meaning the board may have rode up on something and tilted.
For testing remove the in and outfeed table and see whats happens.
