I am looking for a piece "key" if you will..for making Japanes  saw handle..
a number of years ago 25ish there was a little business in Seattle called Tashiro..he sold Japanese saw blades and chisels..the business is long gone sadly..but at the time a person could buy this part "spring blade holder" and make your own handle...
This one I made while in a boat building class at Seattle central community college in the early 90s...anyway ..I have been searching online for the last couple days without any luck..does anyone know where I can purchase this part..as I would like to make some more saw handles for my shop , rather than switching blades..
well first off let me say welcome to the forum. hopefully your here for more than this question ! sadly i cant help you but maybe one of our very experienced woodworkers might. if you need help for anything just ask !

Welcome to the forum! Not sure where you can find that ‘key’, but it’s a cool idea to be able to build your own saw handles with one. Good luck!

Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".

im questioning his intent ryan ? lets see ?
