ok my review of my new mirka deos sander. had it for a couple weeks now and was able to test drive. since i had a mirka deros 5" ROS for a few years now it was no worry to invest in this one. uses 3x5" sanding screens. it's a .01 orbital action sander. very smooth with low vibration and hooked up to my fein collector, dust free. weighs in at 2.2lbs and low profile at 4" tall. brushless motor and variable speed. has bluetooth connectivity if your into that ? has a 14' cord that can be removed for storage. this model did not come in a systainer but did include a tray that can be put in my deros systainer. i love my deros and this deos is gonna be the perfect match to go with it. at around 500 bucks it's definitely not cheap, but for me it's well worth the price. makes the drudgery of sanding a little more pleasurable.
working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.
not sure since i have no use for it. i think if you have a vac with bluetooth it will turn it on and off ? i just plug the sander into my vac and it already does that so it's just another thing nobody needs. ask the duck he loves that shit. he's mentioned all the bluetooth tools he has.

Had me going for the wallet when Bluetooths was mentioned, as I love my DEROS (as well). Unfortunately it looks like it's just a way for your boss to keep track of how long you operate the sander, and can dock your pay if you're slack.
Being a great fan of the Festool Bluetooth batteries I was hoping other manufacturers wold embrace the concept (pattent pending). The cord turns the vac on, so in this case, the Bluetooth seems like a useless piece of tech, unless as a privateer, you want to hold your phone in your left hand to watch what your right hand is doing.
Cheap and woodwortking in the same sentenc is an oxymoron!
At least with the Bt radio installed it could be used at a later time. I don’t understand why anything with a power source doesn’t have a BT, RF and WiFi radio installed as a matter of course at this point.
Ryan/// ~sigh~ I blew up another bowl. Moke told me "I made the inside bigger than the outside".
