Out of the thousand reasons most (including me) hate painting, I feel that decanting should be reserved for vino... Nevertheless some mushrooms, without awareness and now this knowledge, can reduce those stats to 999.
Still not having a formal Review section, I cannot write up and rate these great little, non-degradable plastic, universal paint spouts that I picked up at Bunnings sold at $3 (Aus) for 3.
It can handle any sized paint can with a circumference greater than 118mm... even imperial cans greater than 118mm (??? inches).
However, to bypass the review... for anyone that is not prepared to pay $1 each, you can go out and buy a roll of painters tape (for $13.80 Aus) and enact this little hint provided with the compliments of D_W on LJ which I thought was a worthy disclosure here,
So if you run out of the spouts, you can always substitute painters tape, however, if you run out of tape, you can't substitute tha pourers without a lot of CA.
If your first cut is too short... Take the second cut from the longer end... LBD
crowie Thank you Alex, I’ve added them to my next hardware store shopping list trip 👍
Funny how I sort of noticed them and walked past for years at Bunnings... Then one day I was bitching to one of the staff that surely manufacturers could devise better pourability after 146 years (1877)... that's when he pointed out that those pourers (that I'm not reviewing) were hanging in nearly every aisle about every 3 meters apart.

Capsicum ..Doh ..sorry about that chief, doesn't look like you can edit it either! And yes they are really capiscum seedlings. did you know you can tell their sex by looking at their bottoms!
Remember the old style quart oil cans? Stab with a screws driver or use a triangle punt beer can opener and spill 1/2 over your valve cover before zeroing in on the breath hole.
Then there were the stab in spouts that were a miracle and only leaked a little. Also made the 1/2 empty can top heavy so i'd get knocked over and re-lube your bench. I still have a plastic funnel that snaps over the can top like some of these paint can doohickeys but then the big-lube cabal decided to go with the plastic bottles.
I know someone (Rockler?) makes a pain can "lid" that has a pouring spout and a mixing auger combined. Looks trick, but buy that and the can dimension "standard" would inevitably be revised in spite.
