Hey honey, this followed me home - can we keep it?

I've been keeping an eye out for a decent deal on a jointer and this popped up last night. I got in touch with the seller pretty much immediately after it was listed and picked it up today. It's a Jet JJ-6CSX and everything seems to be in good shape. I'll be picking up a Byrd head for it sooner rather than later.

Now I just need to figure out how to get the thing in to my basement... 🤔

$200. Pretty good for my area, from what I've seen.
That's a steal for a good jointer. Bring it down in 2 pieces. With some help

Yup, I did take it off of the base already - I had to do that just to get it in my wagon. I think I'll bolt it some plywood, sled it through my snowy back yard and then slowly slide it down the steps to the basement. 🤷‍♂️
Something like this might work.

You don't always get what you go after, but you do get what you wouldn't have got if you didn't go after what you didn't get. Blaze Foley

Thanks, Hairy - I'll keep something like that in mind.

 Going for it by yourself?

Yeah, if I can come up with a reasonable plan to do it safely. I've got a fair amount of experience moving heavy-ish/large-ish things by myself, taking advantage of leverage, ramps, sleds, wheelie thingies, etc. I have a little trip out of town, too, so I'll have a couple of weeks to mull it over.
SAAAWEEET.  That'll be a game changer. Sometimes I don't use mine for a month, but when I need it, I need it bad.
