I couldn't just drive by

This just followed me home. Literally. I had no room in my car, and the guy I bought it from delivered it. Only about 2 blocks away. It was in his front yard with some other stuff.

I first saw 1 of these about 30 years ago and thought it was just a great tool. All it needs is some lubrication, maybe align the fence. It has a metal cutting blade now, for aluminum. He said it's been stored for the last 5 years.

I don't see anything broke, appears to be complete. I'm calling it very good condition.

I told the guy I don't need it but I'm buying it anyway. $130. And I'm a happy guy.

You don't always get what you go after, but you do get what you wouldn't have got if you didn't go after what you didn't get. Blaze Foley

hairy that delta does nothing for me, but that radial arm in the upper left corner does. sad most fear them, i love em.

working with my hands is a joy,it gives me a sense of fulfillment, somthing so many seek and so few find.-SAM MALOOF.

IIRC that Delta is basically a portable RAS.  Nice get Hairy😎
Back when when I first saw one of these, woodworking for me was plywood and 2x4's. I was impressed, all I had used was a handheld circular saw. I like it just as much as I did back then. I might even use it. I'm sure y'all that buy handplanes  or whatever, when you already have too many, will get it.

Yes, that RAS  is a 1959 DeWalt 925, 3/4 hp. It's a good one. $50 from craigslist, maybe 10 years ago.

I never thought of it like that, but, I'd say you're kinda right.

Through cuts only, no dado blades. No rip cuts. But I'm 1 who says rip cuts are wrong for RAS.

Also different from a compound miter saw, but all 3 share some uses.

I made money with my tools since I was 18. I retired 14 years ago, it's just for fun now.

Buck saws are awesome, I always wanted one.  Nice deal/find

Figuring out how to do something you have never done is what makes a good challenge.
