Hmmm, being a domestic guy, that AAR would be nice, the 340 version would be a bit better in the corners, but if it's gonna be Mopar, Hemi Cuda, For my Ford blue blood however, a 69 GT500KR If we're getting impractical, can't argue with English body and domestic power.
Seeing that cars have no real importance in my life I would like to have the #1 car on this list, though any of them would work. As soon as it was mine I would check into seeing if the person who wrote this knew what they were talking about because I would as quickly as possible sell it, and have a blast with the cash. I could do that in a Hugo. :-)

Splint a real Cobra would be kinda fun for a weekend. There is a high end rental place in Vegas that used to have one on their lot, not sure if they still do. It had the 427 in it. Actually that car went sideways better than straight forward. My Best Mans, ex BIL, had the GT 500, and also Dan's Sister had the 302 version. Both also good sideways cars. Ford, and Shelby in particular was awesome at making sideways cars. Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth was pretty good at it too. Chebby's best entry was the Camaro, overall doglike in comparison, but rear wheel drive, and lots of HP, can make even a junker a sideways car. :-)
I've always lusted after the kit car clones of the Cobras, a lot cheaper way to get one!
My first car was a '70 Mach 1. Had it for over 20 years and sold it just before the values went crazy. Still holding onto several early Broncos. They've gone crazy value wise but when I get board with woodworking I'll get after them so I can sell them after the craze goes away and they only command scrap value 😜
When I was traveling for work I would rent dive places and save my per diem money. I had enough to buy an AC Cobra kit and a Fox body Mustang for parts, but the money ended up in laminate flooring and a bunch of other useful things. Splint, I know your pain. I've had a bunch of classics in my past that would net me big money today, that I sold for cheap, back in the day.
Then again, Aston Martin makes a really nice car. All that leather and burl wood, and a nice curvaceous exterior. If I had enough money, I'd buy three. That way, I'd have one to drive while the other two were in the shop.
The original AC Cobras had Ford 427 SOHC engines stuffed into them. MASSIVELY overpowered. I wanted to build one, as mentioned above, but I'd've been good with a 289. The things weigh next to nothing, to start with.
Being a Porsche fan I would choose the new Porsche Cayman GT4. 400 plus HP. 0-62 3.1 sec. 0-100 less than 9 sec. Mid engine, 6 cyl. opposed. $170,000 Expensive sports car for the street or economical race car. Be a great track car as well. One car I would keep, if I got some of those already posted that are 100 of thousands or more, just sell them and buy a good street car, track car, fun car.
Going by most sentimental I would have to say a 1978 Ford Courier, my dad owned one while I as growing up and he sold (basically gave it) it to help someone who was down on their luck. Now that my dad has passed I would love to be able to have one of my own.
A classic beauty LW, but I'd dread being on the chrome polishing detail.😱 Of course if any of us could afford one, finding someone to do the deed probably wouldn't be that difficult 🧐
