onieda universal router hood

 well I just got this dust shield yesterday and put it to the test, mounted it on my porter cable fixed base router, pretty simple. tested with the biggest bit that would fit through the shield,1-3/8 chamfer bit, wanted to make as much dust as possible. well it did a great job picking up id estimate to be 95% or more. i have it connected to my fein dust collector attached to the router with rocklers dust right universal hose kit which fit perfectly. i agree with iminmyshop though that the plastic is very flimsy and seems like it may easily break. when I saw this attachment I had to get it, im just hoping it holds up. right now I'm giving it four stars, we'll see if that changes with more use. posted on lj's a few years ago. still have the shield but havn't really used it a lot. seems im always in a hurry !
