Drill Press Angle Plate

I made another one of these for my friend in Illinois who  has a load of cherry wood waiting for me. It is made from 5/8" and 3/4" maple plywood. It is very handy  for holding pieces ( even round ones )  square in both directions especially when drilling the end of long pieces.
The base is 7 1/2 and 9 1/2" and it is 5" 1/2" high. It has a hang hole for storing on the wall!

Great idea Jim, I need something like that in my shop (have a bunch of birch plywood drops still). I usually use a number of clamps holding blocks to the fence.

Thanks,Eric. I have an angle plate for the band saw too to hold long pieces for sawing accurately. Plywood works great for all shop fixtures!!!!!!

Yes the plywood works well, reason I scavenged a bunch of drops a while back, couldn't see them going to the landfill.

Looks to be pretty handy, think I got to make me one of these. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Tom and Dave.

Hi Eric. Here is Grand Rapids I could get a truck load of really great maple plywood every week if I wanted. My barn is full of it however. I go dumpster diving there with my friends to get them a lot of it every few weeks. This is just one example of how useful it is!!!!!!! A friend of mine makes signs with it and  we just got her a load last week.
Hi Dave. This angle plate works so well for things that do not hold well in a vice because of the size and shape. I often clamp angular pieces in there level with the top to get the holes perpendicular to  that edge.

Jim like the simplicity of the jig.     Works is what matters.
