I noticed that you have the grain of the seat running side-to-side. It seems like I usually see it running front-to-back. Was there a reason for that?

Nathan, on the seat it was size of blank and actually the recommended approach in most of the books about stick chairs. I'm not smart enough to be sure of any of the science or physics of it though 😂
