SplinterGroup commented 2 days ago For the small circles (like wheels), I'd invest in a quality hole saw. You get the perfectly centered axle hole and a nice surface for the outer diameter (with a good cutter). I think using a router trammel on something < 6" is pressing ones luck unless there is a sure way to secure the cutout.
this jig will do it no problem. the circle is held to the jig wit a screw in the center pivot point.
