Been woodworking of some kind or another for 50 or more years, since Juniour high school wood shop. After retiring, spend way too much time in my shop everyday, enjoying every minute. Keeps me out of my wife’s hair. Bought my CNC router as a retirement gift to myself two years ago, and in order to prevent becoming a hoarder with all my carvings, attend the Memphis flea market each month to unload things to help pay for more wood to carve on. It’s amazing, I’ll spend 10 to sometimes 12 hours a day, almost everyday in my shop, and feel totally refreshed. Something you could never get me to do while earning a living prior to retirement. Guess doing what you want to do instead of what you have to do for someone else makes all the difference. Anyway, looking forward to interacting with everyone, hoping to learn what I can, and maybe help others as well. Thanks for the add to this forum. Keith Hodges. North Little Rock, Arkansas

Welcome a board . I felt the same way ’it’s different when you are told to do something and there is a dead line . Unfortunately with my heath issues I can barely squeeze out about 3 hrs aday in my shop. I used to work 8 hrs and then put in 6 hrs in my shop. So all you guys have as much fun as you can . Things could change tomorrow , trust me .
