Hello All, my name is Dave. I have been a sign maker and screen printer for 35 years. Along the way I have been a framer, trim carpenter, cabinet maker, licensed pest control contractor and even taught commercial art to high school students. I look forward to spending time on the forum and learning more as I go. I am putting my play area (as my wife calls it) at home back into more of a wood working shop than the other various things it has been over the years. I have quite a tool collection and always seem to be adding more, lol. My next addition will be a nice router table to try and get away from hand routing some of my smaller projects. Now to start digging around and see what I find!

Welcome Dave, sounds like you have gained alot of expertise over the years. Love to see some pics of your shop.

Welcome. I hope you enjoy the site as much as we do.

Welcome Dave.

You must have accumulated a wealth of experience over these years.

Lord Jack, right now the shop is half screen print, half rock band, half metal shop, half wood project table, lol. Once I get it all set up again I’ll post up some newer pics.

This is the back section where I do most of the screen printing

And then the sign shop worktables, printers, you can see the table saw in back, there is a panel saw next to it out of pic. I have a storage area next door with basically an entire cabinet shop in it waiting for me to set up at shop at house again, lol. As my wife says, toys toys toys.

I did however clamp and glue my wifes’ broken dresser drawer front panel this morning before I came in. Old dovetail came apart from years of use.

Wow! You have an interesting place, for sure!

Routers and router tables are awesome. I have one that’s around, or over, 20 years old and it’s still going strong.

Welcome aboard.

A similar shop story as mine, it’s been a recording studio, fantasy football league clubhouse, lobster restaurant, and many other things until finally the carpentry shop prevailed.
