Welcome! Woodworking is a fun hobby and this is a fun and friendly site..

Between the two of you I am sure the fun will be double the fun. Sometime it get tiresome working alone.
I like your assortment of boxes. .

Thanks Ian, I appreciate your reply.
As I’m retired I tend to give Mark the freedom of the workshop at week-ends, which sometimes he enjoys. He has made some nice boxes, but with more free time, I have managed to complete more, as well as learning from sites like this and video’s, how to do things.

Cwmcelyn…(Holly Valley but no one would ever call it that) go to Blaina, go further…up the lane through the trees, past the pond…up, up, up…about 375 meters above sea level and mostly in mist and fog. There is a forest in front of us and a horse pasture behind us. Oh, and a goat with four horns….very Halloween.

Sounds like a lovely peaceful location. A special place.

Hi and welcome to the group :)

look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a big hunk of the bowl I was turning.

HI Munchy. Thanks for the welcome. How you doing in Texas and what are you up to in the woodwork world?
I’m busy with my boxes and put some additional lighting in the workshop (double garage) so that there was improved light where we use the bandsaw.

I’m doing well, thank you for asking. As for the woodworking I’m try knock out the last of Christmas present and shopping around for a new lathe.

look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's a big hunk of the bowl I was turning.

Yeah, I though I saw a chunk of bowl fly across!.
I’ve not done ant turning myself, in fact only started this woodworking episode last Christmas and the only other bit of woodwork I did, was about 30 years ago when I made a pine bookcase. That is still around, but has ended up in the garage(workshop) as part of the tool space.
