Well James - you ask a fair question with "Why do we care?"

It deserves an answer. It's pretty simple - people don't like to be deceived.

When that deception is used as a cover for rude behavior it gets worse.

I'll echo Bentley's observation that you have impressive woodworking skills and sharing those is a welcome contribution as far as I'm concerned.
