Been tempted to get back to flocking, but what I use now is just felt over 1/4" plywood (synthetic stuff sold in 8x11" sheets.
3M77 is the goto. Follow directions (spray on the plywood, let sit for 1-2 minutes, then apply the felt). Flatten/press with a 4" ink roller.
I do oversize then cut on the TS.
