Re. George and emergency rooms.
Wife had a root canal that got infected after the 1-week Penicillin script the doc gave her. We called the doc and got an appointment (1.5 hour drive to get there). He said they are not allowed to prescribe anything more that Penicillin and suggested to go to the ER.
Went there (this is around 6pm). Waited about 5 hours to be seen, pre-screen and blood draw, wait 2 more hours then another 2 hours after being taken back to the exam room to get two antibiotic capsules and a script.
