re: Big commission piece coming my way

Love this post and everyone’s comments. I always give an estimate in the expensive/hard wood and then in the cheaper/soft wood. It actually helps customers see the difference of where your coming from in materials but a lot of people like you guys mentioned don’t realize the labour we put into it. I think what annoyes me is me being female..lol. Everyone assumes my husband makes everything, when he tells them that I do all the work they are shocked. I even get some men coming up to me and they say well I can do this but I don’t have the time then they walk away or some will buy it still. Some men try taking photos so they can go and try to build it themselves. Like really!
