It's spendy too, but I've used Daly's Seafin to stabilize some cherry that, if I were to drop it on my rubber mat, would, probably, be in a hundred pieces. A thousand on cement.
If I were using epoxy, I prefer 2:1. It seems thinner and to penetrate better. More so if you warm it up before mixing and applying.
