My husband's cardiologist said something similar: "Why would they tell you that? They aren't God!"
The truth is that they told him that because he was sent home on hospice with the "death drugs" which, if administered as hospice prescribes, will generally kill the person within two weeks. Needless to say, we didn't do the drugs.
