Corn Hole Boards

Corn hole boards are a hot item on my daughter's in-law side of the family. I made them a set and then got sweet talked into making a set for my S.I.L.s nephew in Eastern Missouri. He' a big hunter so incorporated that into this set.  I wanted to do something different so decided to do a Fall color woodsy scheme. I then painted a base coat of brown after sealing them with Shellac, then used various leaves and shed antlers in different camo colors.  I painted these in different layers and colors to give it a 3-D type of look. I then sealed them with MinWax PolyCrylic, five coats lightly sanded between each, one per day. The planed 2x4s ( to give them crisp edges ), were stained to give them an outdoor color and look. I used carriage bolts on the legs with wing nuts on the inside to lower and raise the legs without having the need for tools.  These were made to regulation size, 24 X 48 inches, with the top 12 inches from the ground. As these are pretty heavy, I put a couple of handles on the sides for easier handling.
Very creative look!!

I’m guessing that there will be more “sweet talking” in the future!
