Project #6: Carpenter's Hanging Plaque

I have a carpenter friend who has been helping me out with tools, advice and generally teaching me everything I need to know so I decided to make a thankyou gift. I sanded down some lengths of wood and used the brown paint already there to my advantage when I carved a witty quote onto it.

To finish it off I drilled holes in the corners and threaded through some rustic looking twine to go with the rest of the theme.
