This is part 5 in a 5 part series: Toolbox

  2. Saw Hangers for Flip-Top

I needed something that would hold the saws in place in the flip-top and be easy to remove. I also am doing everything I can not to use screws or nails. I will use screws for the side handles and hinges but that’s it.

The hangers are basically a pin on an arm that’s removable. The arms are held into a mortise that’s tapered on one end for a walnut wedge. It actually works quite nicely. The pins on the ends go through the saw handles and the pin in the center just provides an arm to hold the saw backs.
