You may have seen the Plywood off cuts I collected from CFI Industries
Well I cut them up even smaller, or at least the 4mm sheet. I can make a nice lightweight box out of them and mill all the remaining pallet pieces to hold it all together
It will be about 380 mm x 380 mm Initially I was going to use 38 mm quad but screwed up, by gluing the base together first
I found trying to radius the third vertical upright section impossible So overnight I had this brainwave I could used a 38mm forstner bit and cut the two horizontal ends out to accommodate the third corner upright. Bad move. I made a Jig to clamp on the edge of the base and set to work, however the bit drifted and wouldn't do what I wanted so I scrapped the quad trim idea. I then cut up heaps of triangle sections from the pallet boards.
and being quite pleased with myself cut the 90 deg edging too!
As an aside you may remember "Big Al" from LJs days he posted a modified ratchet strap years ago of which I still use to this day. Appropriately recognised for his design (look on the strap for the credits) I used two of them and four of my angle clamps the 90 deg edging and Titebond III (which appears to be getting to be the most expensive glue going) and glued everything together.
fitted the base and set it all aside to dry pending Phase 2.
The finished product will have my patented knuckleduster handles, rubber screw on feet and top trim, of which I am still thinking about.
Meanwhile I am busy searching for Pottzys dead sander and still sniveling about the cost of my special euro hinges.
