This is part 3 in a 4 part series: Amigurumi Potion Bottle

  1. The Vision
  1. The Insert
  2. The Potion Bottle
  3. Bottle Lid

The insert is complete... and now to make the outer bottle.

I chose a deep red colour for my bottle, as it was leftover yarn that was sitting nearby. Again, it is Camilla 6/4 and a 2.0mm crochet hook.

√ 6 sc in a magic ring (leaving a long tail for attaching the insert)
√ inc around = 12
√ [inc, sc] around = 18
√ [inc, sc, sc] around = 24
√ [inc, sc, sc, sc] around = 30
√ [inc, 4 sc] around = 36
√ sc around, BLO to create the base
√ [inc, 5 sc] around = 42
√ sc around
√ [inc, 6 sc] around = 48
√ sc around
√ [inc, 7 sc] around = 54
√ sc around

attach the insert to the base, to secure it, working just in the inside of stitches so that the yarn doesn't show on the outside.
change to the second yarn colour. I used white yarn to match the insert.

√ sc around

√ [7 sc, dec] around
√ [6 sc, dec] around
√ [5 sc, dec] around
√ [4 sc, dec] around = 30  (same as insert rim)
√ sc around, stitching into insert rim as well., joining the two.
Add fibrefill and then spread it evenly around the insert
√ sc around for 4 rows
finish off.

Next: the bottle cap
