I like those bungees with the closed end!
I hang hoses and especially my vacuum bag suction hose from a hook as the hose needs to feed straight down so it doesn't tip and leak. The hook bungees I have tend to slip off the hose when I release it. Inevitably they then slingshot away, unhook at the top, and fly away to some neither region where they disappear from this reality.
