I realy like the look of that bottom assembly, very elegant and energetic lines. Almost feels like it has deserved a much nicer top. Hope that you keep the jigs and templates for the future in case inspiration strikes..

One little detail on the inspiration chair: even the shoulders on the front stretcher are rounded, creating a shadow line.   I don't think I've ever seen this on another chair (or maybe the detail just didn't register).  I like the look, but I'm not sure I should try it on my chair.   I think I'll make a dummy stretcher with that detail and see what it looks like before deciding.
To my eyes this looks like a way to make slightly sloppy angles not be as visible. I´d keep the crisp joints you have for a more coherent and sharp looking design
