re: Urn #2

Few progress pictures 

Sides cut and ready for bevels.  
My sled still isn't giving me satisfactory results (not square) so followed up with skim cuts using my miter gauge.  Ended up pretty good.  Corners close and grain wrap is ok.  Definitely will do splines - he wants contrasting wood so likely maple.

Had to glue up boards to get the width I needed for the top.  This is an inch or so thick currently
That surface is now larger than needed so need to decide which grain pattern will look best with the inlay of a cross.

NEXT:  
Need to figure out how thick the top should be and need to finalize the bottom.  In addition, need to get the inlay for the cross figured out, and practice on some off cuts before trying that on the walnut.  Still questioning if the thinner sides look ok - was thinking of how/if I could add some thickness, perhaps with a contrasting wood
