I've been using mine more and more recently. I have a couple of newer ones, one of which is a Starrett with brass extension and a couple of vintage boxwood ones. I love the patina they develop over time, particularly this little 2 foot 4 section rule (No.2547-BE) made by J. Rabone and Sons, Birmingham, England. When I compare the two vintage rules with the two new rules, I can really appreciate the skill that went into making a quality folding rule back in the day.
Still got the original locator pin.
The hinges are still nice and stiff.
