re: Sharpening Methods - Introduction

I use cardboard instead of leather to strop my carving tools. It eliminates potential rounding of the edge. The cardboard is glued to a glass plate on my Work Sharp 3000 for most honing. I have a portable stick with cardboard on it if I'm away from home. The cardboard is from a Cheerios cereal box. That and the gold abrasive from Flex Cut.
