I would venture that the people who placed the chairs for Free would be delighted to know of your delight to get them. It always encourages me to hear a nice story like this.

I love sending thank you notes to people who have given things to us Free because then they know that the treasure (or even what they considered junk) with which they parted is much appreciated.
