Portal Entry Table
I'm calling this one "The Portal Table" due to the copper patination, which is my continued exploration into metal patination. The base of the table is made from a wood called Wenge. The steel disc has been treated with a blend of various chemicals to make it look like a sea of aged copper.
The top is made from a live edge Genuine Mahogany slab from the Island of Saint Lucia, and each bowtie is inlaid by hand.
The last picture is my SketchUp drawing I did before starting the build.

Nicely done! Did you do the patina work with your own mix of chemicals or did you use a commercial solution?

your work always inspires me brian. i love every aspect of this design from the beauty of the top to the base and the patina on the copper. something id love to try. once again another work of art.
